Find Your Competitive Event
Middle School competitive events help members explore careers, strengthen communication skills, solve problems, and build confidence.

Demonstrate what you know about business, technology, finance, leadership, career exploration, and other subjects.

Texas Awards Program
The Texas Awards Program identifies the events, award opportunities, entry limits, and participation requirements approved for Texas FBLA Middle School competition. Students and advisers should review the current program before selecting or preparing an event.

Eligible Texas finalists may advance to compete at the national level.

Learn about the available events and choose one that matches your interests and strengths.

Read the Guidelines
Review the event instructions, required components, time limits, and judging criteria with your adviser.

Make a Plan
Break the assignment into smaller tasks and identify important deadlines.

Practice
Study, rehearse, check your work, and ask your adviser or another trusted adult for feedback.

Complete a Final Check
Confirm that every required component is complete and ready for competition.

Complete the qualifying requirements for advancement to State.

Students who advance should review the national guidelines and prepare for the National Leadership Conference.

Middle School Competition Resources
Texas-specific study materials are being developed. In the meantime, students and advisers may access official National FBLA Middle School event guidelines, rating sheets, and preparation resources.
National resources provide preparation support. Texas competitors must also follow the current Texas Awards Program and state requirements.

Middle School members and advisers may recommend original study guides, practice activities, helpful websites, or videos for possible inclusion in the Texas FBLA resource library.
Secure tests, confidential competition materials, answer keys, and copyrighted resources may not be submitted or shared.
