Isaac Hernandez

Hello, Hola, and Howdy Texas FBLA!

My name is Isaac Manuel Hernandez. I will be serving Texas as the State President and Area 6 Vice- President. I am an upcoming senior at Mount Pleasant High School and this is my third year in FBLA. I was born and raised here in the Lone Star State. I am a middle child with one older and one younger brother.

My FBLA journey began my sophomore year. When I joined FBLA, I thought I would just “check it out”, however I quickly fell in love with it. I knew I wanted to grow further within FBLA, so I became more involved my junior year. I had the position of Parliamentarian for my local chapter. As the year went on, I grew closer to FBLA as a whole. This is when my adviser told me he wanted me to run for state office. At first, I was hesitant and afraid of the huge responsibility it would be, but he encouraged me. I now have the honor to be a part of an amazing team full of incredible leaders.

Along with FBLA, I partake in various other student-led organizations such as TPSA, STUCO, NHS, NTHS, UIL, Class Officer and Powerlifting. I hold VP positions for both STUCO and NHS; while being the President of NTHS. I like to stay involved in my school and build a strong bond with not only the staff but also the student body. Outside of an educational environment, I enjoy listening to music, reading, and being outside. I am a huge film fanatic and
love watching all the new movies as soon as they come out in theaters.

FBLA is more than just an “organization”, it’s a passion. It has been one of the most impactful things, not only in high school, but in my life. I have learned to take charge, to speak to others, and to lean on those who care for me. I have grown in confidence and as a young man all thanks to FBLA and every exemplary FBLA member. I cannot wait to serve Texas, support your chapters, and leave a lasting impact. This year has a lot in store for us, and I am so excited to be able to make a mark in your lives.
